Cyberpunk Bluetooth Amplifier
As part of Lick-Wilmerding High School’s “Analog and Digital” class, I designed and assembled this Bluetooth amplifier and speaker system.

For this project, I designed a custom PCB in Fusion, manufactured the casing for a PCB and added an electronic element. In order to achieve the frame, I designed the side panels in Blender and used Onshape for the center screenholder (when more precision was needed to mount the electronics inside).

I really wanted to emulate the neo-noir feel of 90s cyberpunk culture. I ended up using a 32x32 RGB matrix panel from Adafruit, and attached it to an ESP32 with a matrix portal to control the screen. Although it just scrolls pixels, I was hoping to expand this project further by designing bars that increase with sound.
For this project, I was able to 3D print virtually every piece of the speaker. I also ended up painting and varnishing the design with acrylics. I learned a lot about PCB design, and I’m really proud of learning how to plan and assemble wire traces.
