Hardware Lead/Robot Driver
Management Electronics Assembly

I joined SF Unity 9038, a community robotics team, back in the team’s infancy. Through the years, I’ve gotten to see it develop. As part of my work on the team, I did electrical work on Claude (2026), Alcatraz (2025), and programming on Phoenix (2024). Additionally, I participated in several offseason events, including CalGames, North California Robotics Invitational, and Mechanical M-Ayhem. Since 2025, I’ve been the team’s driver, and this season I’ve been leading the Hardware team, responsible for fabrication, wiring and assembly of the robot.

As part of wiring the robot, I helped design wireplans for the robot in Photoshop, then worked alongside Design team to map, place and secure wiring and electrical systems to the bot. Power and CAN management were crucial as well, and I worked with my team to install and maintain the robot’s Kraken and Neo motors.

Additionally, I’ve been responsible for quick repairs between matches, as well as driving our team’s robot in the 2025 and 2026 seasons. I improved my thinking under pressure and decision making, needing to do on-the-fly jobs and direct teammates in a limited timespan.

More recently, I’ve been working on training plans and management work to ensure the future of the team. Currently in the 2027 pre-season, I oversee over a dozen members in the Hardware Branch, and ensure that new recruits are able to successfully integrate into the team and expand upon 9038’s future robot.
